Grading Policy
At Ambassador Christian Academy, we believe in providing a clear and transparent approach to evaluating student progress.
Our grading policy, as outlined in the Student-Parent Handbook (hyperlink to Handbook), is designed to fairly assess students’ academic performance through a balance of different types of assessments. This structure ensures that students are evaluated on both their understanding of course material and their ongoing effort throughout the learning process.
Below is a detailed breakdown of how these components contribute to a student’s final grade.
GRADING WEIGHTED CATEGORIES (STANDARDIZED FOR GRADES 3-12)
Summative Assessments | Tests, Projects, Final Papers | 50% |
Formative Assessments | Quizzes, Labs, Journals, Reflections, etc | 30% |
Formative Practice | Participation, Classwork, and Homework | 20% |
