Meet Queen Viv
By day, she was simply “Ms. Viv” in the front office of a small, private Christian school, answering phones, wiping tears, finding lost lunches, and somehow knowing every child’s name, schedule, and snack preference. She ran the school like a gentle general: calm voice, kind eyes, and an uncanny ability to fix problems before anyone realized there was one. But what no one knew was that she had once worn a crown. Long ago, in a faraway place (and an even farther-back time), she was royalty, trained in grace, leadership, and quiet strength. For reasons she rarely spoke of, she set aside her title and chose a simpler life: one of service, faith, and love. She traded silk gowns for cardigans, royal halls for school hallways, and court banquets for cafeteria trays. And then, just when everyone thought she couldn’t possibly be more beloved, she became the school chef. The woman who once dined among kings now stirred soup for kindergartners. The same hands that once waved from palace balconies now tied aprons and passed out cookies. Her meals were legendary: warm, comforting, and somehow seasoned with joy. Kids lined up just to see her smile. Teachers swore her food could fix bad days. Parents knew their children were safe the moment they walked through her door. To the students, she wasn’t royalty, she was better. She was the heart of the school. The one who prayed with them, laughed with them, fed them, and believed in them. Some say that if you look closely, you can still see a little royal sparkle in her eyes. But she’d just smile and say the same thing every time: “The greatest crown is serving others well.”
