Welcome to Our Preschool Program

At Ambassador Christian Academy, our Preschool Program offers a nurturing, Christ-centered environment designed to help young children ages 3-5 grow spiritually, academically, and socially. We understand that choosing a preschool is one of the most important decisions you’ll make, and we’re here to provide a safe, loving place where your child will thrive.

Learning Through Play and Exploration

Our play-based learning approach encourages children to explore the world around them through interactive learning centers and engaging activities. Each day is filled with opportunities to develop both large and small motor skills, practice early literacy and numeracy, and learn how to interact with others in positive ways. Our circle time, rest time, and flexible routines provide the structure and balance young children need to feel secure while developing independence.

Biblical Worldview and Character Development

At the heart of our program is a commitment to teaching from a biblical worldview. Children learn about God’s love and the Bible through stories, songs, and prayer each day. We help children develop important social skills like sharing, taking turns, and conflict resolution, while also encouraging kindness and service through projects like creating cards and artwork for veterans, police officers, and grandparents.

A Safe and Supportive Environment

Your child’s safety and well-being are our top priorities. With armed security on campus, key-fob-only entry, and a small, close-knit community where each student is known by name, we ensure a secure and welcoming atmosphere. Our staff is always available to listen to and address any concerns, and we model biblical principles of conflict resolution throughout the day.

Small Class Sizes and Individualized Attention

Our preschool offers small class sizes with a maximum of 18 students per class, allowing for plenty of one-on-one attention. With two dedicated teachers, each child receives personalized support to foster their development and ensure they are fully prepared for kindergarten.

Parent Involvement and Communication

We believe in partnering with parents to create a strong, supportive learning community. Parents are invited to join our Parent-Teacher Fellowship (PTF), help out in the classroom during mid-day breaks, and participate in school-wide events like the Thanksgiving Breakfast, Color Run, Veterans Day Program, and Christmas Concerts. We keep parents informed through a weekly newsletter and communicate as needed to share joys, concerns, and progress. Additionally, we host monthly coffee and conversation sessions where parents can ask questions and get to know our school better.

Enrichment and Special Activities

We offer a variety of enrichment classes, including Art, Music, PE, and Library time. Preschoolers also join the entire school community for weekly Chapel and other special events throughout the year. These experiences provide opportunities for spiritual growth and help children feel connected to the greater school family.

Flexible Scheduling

We offer both full-day and half-day options, with the flexibility of attending 3 or 5 days a week. For our older preschool students, we also provide before and after care, ensuring that your family’s needs are met.

Ready for Kindergarten

Our goal is to ensure that each child is fully prepared for the next step in their academic journey. Through fun, creative activities and experiential learning, children learn foundational skills like the alphabet and numbers in ways that are meaningful and enjoyable. Progress is regularly assessed, and we provide parents with periodic skills assessment reports.

At Ambassador Christian Academy, we invite you to join a school where faith, love, and learning come together to provide your child with a strong start in life. Contact us to schedule a tour and see our preschool in action!

Christie Guida

Pre-K Teacher

With a heart for early childhood education and a passion for nurturing young learners, Mrs. Guida brings a rich and varied background to our preschool team. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Education and is certified in both Elementary and Special Education (K–8).

Her journey in education began in the public school system, where she taught first grade for four years before stepping into the role of homemaker and full-time mom. During her daughter’s early school years, she remained closely connected to education—substituting in local schools and directing a preschool program. She later homeschooled her daughter from 5th through 11th grade, gaining even deeper insight into personalized learning and developmental milestones.

More recently, Mrs. Guida served as a kindergarten assistant for two years before stepping into her current role as a Pre-K teacher. In addition, she has over 12 years of experience teaching Sunday School, demonstrating her long-standing commitment to faith-based learning environments.

She loves teaching preschoolers, describing them as imaginative, playful, and full of curiosity. “[Preschoolers] have great imaginations and are so creative in play at this age,” she says. “It’s a joy to help them grow socially, emotionally, and academically as they prepare for kindergarten.” She emphasizes the importance of readiness, noting that young learners thrive when they are able to sit for a short story or instruction time and transition smoothly between activities. We are blessed to have Mrs. Guida as part of our preschool family!
